2018 – 2019 Fall PHY 101 Lab Announcement
Dear students,
PHY 101 Lab begins on 19th November 2018 Monday. Please view the excel files below to see your lab week, place and hour, and consult to M. Ali Olpak if you have any problems concerning the lab hours. If you have courses overlapping with lab hours, your lab group will be changed. These changes will be done until 16th November 2018 Friday.
AEE – AST students should check their lab programme carefully; 5th lab group is cancelled due to its overlapping with the lecture hour. Lab Schedule is updated accordingly.

You will attend two experiments and each student attends the lab session twice a week. For this reason, the lab groups are divided as “first week” and “second week” groups.
You are supposed to bring your lab manual, calculator (preferably scientific calculator), graph paper and ruler. These items are not provided by the laboratory. You can download your lab manual from odk.thk.edu.tr and then take a print out to use in the lab session. These manuals are also attached below (“Deney Föyü” files).
Lab session begins on time and ends on time. If you cannot finish your lab report until the lab session ends, you will have to submit your report even if it is not complete. So read the experiment before the lab session.
Information on significant figures and plotting your graph is also provided in a specific file, which is also attached below (“Errors_SignificantFigures_Graphs” file). Read and study this document. General information will be given in the lab session, but there will not be much time to discuss these issues. The theoretical information concerning the experiment will be given in 15 – 20 minutes at most. That means, you should study for the experiment before attending the lab session.
